First Birthday Party

My youngest son Julian just turned one! I wanted to share this super fun Bee-day party with you! I put together an inspiration board of images I gathered, along with some colors and graphics that inspired me! This really helped me with planning and pulling it all together!
The day was full of FUN! Our Ju-Ju Bee turned one, I had to do what I love to do....and that is host a party!

My amazing mom designed and decorated this beautiful cake! Thanks mom!

And Ju-Ju Bee enjoyed his cake very much!

Caterpillar Sticks, a.k.a. fruit kabobs!

Veggie Sticks

Ants on a Log!

Pasta Chef Salad, I created this salad based on Julian's favorite foods at the time! I wanted something healthy, kid friendly, and easy! I served this with Honey-Mustard dressing! YUMMY!

The BIG Cup of Dirt with slimmy gummy worms!

For fun we had a bounce house, coloring pages with bugs and played an outdoor game where I gave the kids a bug catcher kit from the dollar store and hid little bugs throughout the yard! They enjoyed this!

Sweet moment....daddy and Ju-Ju Bee !

Amy + Mike

This wedding invitation bundle and wedding program was custom designed for Amy and Mikes special day! Peacock blue, silver and paisley designs were featured in this package. The set was stunning! The bride and groom used the monogram throughout their wedding, including their thank you notes. Thank you Amy and Mike for the opportunity to work with you, I really enjoyed the process with you and your mom Kathy!

Natalie + Jeff

I recently worked with this awesome couple that I have known for a long time, thank you Natalie and Jeff for the opportunity, I loved being a huge part of your amazing day! Natalie wanted something unique and elegant, that was eclectic but romantic... We used lots of different vases in different shapes and sizes, we had two types of centerpieces one that was a flower arrangement and the other was a collage of glass, candles, and flowers! The head table was a collection of milk glass, candles and flowers! It was beautiful, and it really showcased them! I also designed and assembled their wedding invitation bundle, they were green with a hint of purple!

Here are a few photos that I took, I will dazzle you with some professional photos soon!

Alyssa + Colin Wedding

I recently had the joy of working with Alyssa and Colin on their amazing wedding day! I designed and assembled their beautiful invitation bundle. The colors of their wedding day were navy and magenta. The wedding took place in Ann Arbor, Michigan, both were graduates of U of M. The ceremony was outside in a courtyard, and the rain held off just long enough to get married! It was beautiful and perfect. The bride loved gerber daisies, and wanted to be surrounded by all shades of pink on her wedding day! Congratulations to you both! And thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you, I really enjoyed being a part of your special day!

Here are just a few shots of their wedding day, these photos were taken by me, I will share some professional photos of their special day as well, stay tuned!

I love a great party. And I especially love hosting a great party! I enjoy finding ways to make it special. I'm excited to start sharing my creations with the world! I have been trying to take lots of photos of the things I create. This post is a snippet of what's to come in sharing my ideas. I'm an Interior Designer by day and a Paper Monster and Crafter and Mother by night. I would love to turn my hobby into my stay-at-home career! Spending time with my boys has become an important part of my life. If you like what you see, please help spread the word of my designs and creations!

Natalie's bridal bouquet!

This photo was taken of the tablescape for my friends baby shower at my home!
I love a great tablescape!

The tablescape at my son's 2nd birthday party, we had a barnyard bash! And my mom's
amazing cakes! I have learned a few tricks from her! The menu was fun for his party, we had many of his favorite things that related to the farm!

My sisters bridal shower tablescape! Lots of shimmer and a taste of Paris!

My home projects, I have many in my head that I want to bring to life! I'll share some design tips and ideas on home projects and share some real projects of my clients!

I have this idea for my Etsy shop, its a Celebration In A Box! I'll put together
the things you need to gather and shop for your next event!
It makes life simple for that busy person, and for the person that wants to give a unique
heartfelt handmade feel to their event!

I can help the do-it-yourselfer by providing the design of the invitation for them
to print and/or assemble, or I can provide everything and send you a beautiful set of your custom wedding invitations ready to mail! I will also share some great finds and ideas!

Life is fun, and I plan to enjoy making memories with my family through great celebrations!
And I hope to make everyday a celebration of some kind with my loved ones!

More Invitations....

I was incredibly honored to be the matron of honor for my sisters wedding! She had a winter wedding in Michigan, and we used snowflakes on all of her custom stationary! I also did her flowers, bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and boutonnieres. I will post her wedding soon! Be sure to check back! Her invites were beautiful, we added rhinestones and used shimmer paper for her sparkle snowflake wedding! She had each invite customized with her guests names on the front tag. I also did her save~the~date, programs, favor tags, and seating tags. {~michelle}

This was done for a friend, it turned out so beautiful, it had the works! Like ~michelle's, it was personalized, and had a custom design, and lots of shimmer and sparkle! I also did her seating tags, and save~the~date design! I just loved this invitation! We added rhinestones and used shimmer paper, the pocket is from Cards and Pockets. {~katharine}

This invitation was for my sisters best friend, I also did her flowers! Check them out in another post, soon to come! She had a beautiful wedding, the invitation set the tone for entire special day. Stunning. We went with more graphics in this invitation, with little details throughout! {~natalie}

Invitations.....

I would like to share some of my past invitations, so many people have been asking to see what I have, so here they are! Enjoy! And I hope you see something you like, I would be delighted to work with you on your next event!

This first one, was my first, it is our wedding invitation! I was a bride on a budget, with a lot of creativity and ideas, I loved the pocket invites and came up with this one for our special day! I had lots of compliments on it, and learned many, many, MANY things about creating custom invites from this, and fell in love with the process! I did everything from the save~the~date, to the invite, to the programs, favors, and thank you notes! {~annette}

This invitation was done for friends of ours, she really liked our invite but wanted something different, so I came up with this unique custom pocket, which included satin ribbon for the belly band, and a short poem about love on the front. The invitation is pulled from the top, featuring their monogram and rhinestone, and the back has a small pocket to contain the response, reception, map and directions! I love this invite and its a special one to me personally! {~terra}

This was one I did for friends of ours, another custom design. This was not a pocket, the idea was that it was like a present that the guests would open when they received their invite. The gate fold has a sheer ribbon that it tied when closed, all of the information is then inside! It turned out really pretty! I also provided her with programs. {~nadine}

This was done for a dear friends cousin that I have known for many years! She had a Tiffany Blue wedding! This invite had all the sparkle, shimmer pocket, custom design shimmer paper, and a satin ribbon! Stunning! This pocket was a pocket from Cards and Pockets, I found them on the web, and have had a lot of success now with their products. {although, I had trouble with getting their product on time in this instance, first and only time, hopefully it will NEVER happen again...} {~marie}

As much as I love creating my own custom pockets, they are very time consuming, so a more practical way and more budget friendly way has been with using pre-made pockets. I have used Cards and Pockets, Mountaincow and Envelopments. I plan to become an Envelopments dealer in the near future, stay tuned!

This was done for a friend, another designer friends, and i just loved her color choices! The pocket was a custom pocket by me, and I used a dot textured paper by Bazzill, very cute! We customized each invite with the guests names on the belly band tag, so it was like using a double envelope. I also provided her with custom table numbers and menus, and favor tags with their monogram. The feel of the invite is a very chic elegance! {~kimberly}

I have more!

~see you soon!
